Yoga 101 Yoga 101 is a set of programs designed specifically for Middle School students. In our society of "perform! perform! Perform!" our children have become highly stressed and the transition from elementary school to middle school and middle school to high school can be scary to say the least. Simply trying to fit in is tremendously stressful for some students. Typically our children have not been taught the tools to effectively deal with their stressful lives. More often than not, these children are so busy that they do not have the time to simply relax. The educational system is beginning to realize that the stress placed on their students, our children, from home, school and from within themselves, is becoming a factor in the development of the student and readying them for life beyond Middle School.
Yoga 101 is an ideal to help with this growing epidemic. Yoga 101's approach to the Middle school student is one of gentle guidance through Hatha Yoga Postures, breathing and relaxation techniques and self discovery. We believe this can be of great benefit to the adults of tomorrow. If we can teach these techniques now, and produce students who are capable of handleing the stress and pressure of High School and beyond, without easily getting caught up in the many dangers that there are to fall into, and with the ability to make sound judgement from their own convictions and "gut feelings", just imagine the benefit for all of our future.
